Just ordered some new TKC 80's from Busters, as my rear Escape is just about dead - theres about 1-2mm tread left in middle. But with possible up-coming trip to Salisbury Plain, time to change them.

I checked on the phone to make sure they had them in stock - helpfull bloke said no, but would call me back after checking with supplier.

He called me back in about 1 min  yes he can get from suppliers for Mon/Tue next week 8) . He also gave me automatic 5% discount for ordering pair, so about £100 all in - including delivery :D

Also ordered new pair of inner tubes from Wemoto.

Has anyone got a detailed exploded view of the brake caliper (front) for a NX650X (2000 I think)

I have replaced the pads but I removed a rubber 'boot' from a bolt/spindle on part of the caliper and cant see how to get it back ( I need to pull it apart....there is an arm that seems to hold the top of the pads in place that this bolt/spindle screws into with the spindle part protruding through a hole in the caliper body - this arm is the part that is bolted to the fork leg)

Doh...

The only manual (pdf) I have covers to '98 but my caliper differs.

Bugger.
Should be ok for the next week or so but i think I really should replace this 'boot' since it is filled with grease and appears to serve no other purpose than to protect the brass spindle bolt it slips over.

Sorry that this is so obscure, I'll try to get pictures later on.

Thanks in advance.
