Hi!
My dommie has developed what i think is a clutch "problem" over the past few thousand kms. The symptoms are:
1) quite sharp vibrating sound (not exactly a rattle but something like that :), coming form under the clutch cover. This started later in the whole saga, around 1000kms ago. It occurs only for the first 5 secs during startup, then disappears.
2) crackling or rustling noise (illiterally the sound when walking through/on dried leaves, don't really know how to describe sounds in english) coming form the same area on the bike. This occurs when engine is properly warmed up (oil T gauge reads above 70-80celsius)
3) for the past few rides, when stopping, distinctive burnt smell coming from whoknowswhere. Haven't smelled it every time, but i believe its there all the time (wind directions or whatever could be the cause for not feeling it)
The bike is a RD08, 28000 kms, no clutch slip, clutch lever freeplay in proper range (tried setting it even to ca 30mm, didnt make any difference my problemwise).
All the knowledge and experience combined in this forum, if anyone suggested solutions, ideas, it'd be great. I have a feeling, i should be(and am) worried about this. Thank you for your time!
