Due to really crappy weather, I set about some cosmetic surgery on the exhaust system again. The Hot Paint states "leave for 24 hours"...OK fine...what else can I do - I know I'll check the front axle torque @ 65Nm and the bracket nuts @ 12Nm...that should kill an hour. Then catastrophy struck ! Tightening one of the four nuts and snap ! of it came with half the screw. Did you hear me in the UK or Netherlands :?:
The lucky part is that the invisible part of these screws are SCREWED in to the fork and not pressure welded, or anything daft like that - obviously the saki bottles were empty that day  So, tomorrow its off to get the right length of screwed rod - and get back on the road again ! Here's a picture of the damage !

I had similar - was trying to undo the bolt on the threaded rod to adjust the chain and the rod sheared. Bugger!

Took it up to a mate's, and he sorted it while I sorted his puter issues (turn and turn about ) - remove the old rod, screw in a bolt with a locking nut, and back on the road
