I couldn't find anything about this particular product by using the search facility - but would assume a fair number of the forum membership are aware of such a device anyway. However, in order to share the knowledge - I've read a bit about soldering irons and silver solder etc., but when I had a problem with a couple of wires, my mate (Transalp owner) who works at Peugeot gave my a few "solder connectors". They look like transparent tube crimps, but have a middle solder ring encased in heat shrink tubing. The tubing tolerates a lot of heat, and all you need is a lighter to complete the whole soldering process. Slip both wire ends into the tube so that the strands intertwine, apply the heat and bingo. Perhaps someone knows the proper name for these ? Seems like an ideal sundry for the bikes first aid kit.........
