Well, following on from the earlier (http://www.xrv.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3996) thread, I've got round to fitting the racks today.

I started by translating the fitting instructions from German :read2: last night using Google - it did every word,. although I had to guess what they meant on a couple of occasions

Went up to a friend's house to fit them as I don't have a garage and it looked like rain (plus he has lots of tools being a racer :D )

It took two attempts to fit as we (I  ) misread the instructions, and first off we tried to attached the frame between the wheelarch and rear subframe, then wondered why nothing would line up. Worked out finally that the frame at the back has to be attached inside the rear rack mounting point

The rest went on OK, although in my case we had to clearance the back of the right-hand frame as the Laser exhaust protudes further to the rear than the standard end cans.

You can just about see in this one that the pannier frame attaches just inside the nut for the rack mount:

Here's the clearance issue on the RHS with a Laser exhaust:

Compare with the non-exhaust side and you can see how much had to be ground off:

The LHS reinforcing bar reaches to the top mount of the pillion peg frame, sandwiched between the frame of the bike and the peg frame.

The RHS reinforcing bar bolts to the frame using the side cover currently, although I'll look at moving that when I do the bolt tightening exercise.

Nice, they look very sturdy, better than my Givi ones.

Will Touratech panniers fit the H&B racks. I'd like to be able to transfer between my Africa Twin and Dominator, but I've never seen Touratech list a rack for the Dominator. At least not here in the US.

I've ordered the TT pannier mounting systems for the Alpos panniers, so I would assume they will - if you want, I can measure the hoops of mine and you can see if the TT hoops are the same size
