RTW slowly
Aix en Provence in June, Dolomites in July, eastern US and Canada in '07, maybe Scandinavia in '08, Western USA/Canada and Rockies in '09
The southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway is an area I ride a good bit. There's a great motorcycle campground In Suches Georgia called Two Wheels Only that you should look into putting on your itinerary. I think the web sight is www.twowheelsonly.com. Also in the area: Deals Gap, Cherahola Skyway, Thunder Road, Wolf Pen Gap and many more roads that the Dominator is well suited for. There are also endless miles of "unimproved" tracks through the forests.

Cheers, TC
I got James Renazco to put a copy of MS Streets & Trips into the box with the seat, so I can do some proper prelim route planning etc :)

My seat took about 6 weeks from the original date set, but I think James Renazco was a bit snowed under with seats to do - he's now got some help (Creeper on ADVRider, I think) to deal with the admin side so it's probably quicker now - you can always ask him before sending for a time scale.
The material is calle Griptex - it's a vinyl with a rubbery sort of feel.
It cost me £47 (€67) to send the seat over, and USPS cost me $53.50 back (€43). Total cost was £229 all-in (€329), still £60 less than I've seen new seats from Honda at, plus it's built for my weight, height and other requirements.
I haven't been able to do a ride of any distance yet, but the little around-town stuff I've done shows it as being nice and firm, just how I wanted it. The proof will come with some time on the saddle without stopping, so I'll come back then.
