I have a better picture somewhere but this was an 1150 done in "basic" colours by Wunderlich
http://www.wunderlich.de/berichte/kroatien/IMG_1082.jpg
there hasnt been that many 'interesting' BMW colour schemes as far as i can remember...
Gaston Rahier had a Red/White Marlboro sponsored 1000R in '84/84, Andrea Mayer had the a few F650 RallyRaids in various colours most notably the yellow/blue 'Kodak' sponsored bike in 2001.

If your after blue then its got to be the Gauloises BMW of Richard Saintor Cyril Depres, it was a hybred of the metalic mid blue of Gauloises and BMW red chequer stripe (as used on Edi Orioli's '99 dakar bike)... looked well cool! and even BMW played with it on the R900 Boxer GS in 2001.

or there is blue white red (BMW racing colours) as used on this, errr thing...

Yep there is a guy on the UKGSER forum with the alais Gaulois who had his beemer sprayed in those colours and looked awesome. Think he sold it for a katoom at the end :?
Chad looking at "so many ideas so little money" it's gotta keep it basic

I kid you not, a big tank like that deserves a custom paintjob, and red flames on a yellow GSīs tank look great, Iīll try and dig out the picture that made me think of this.

Friend of mine has once painted the tank on a suzuki GT750 (yeah the kettle) in black marble.
She usually does stuff like restore murals or do up boring walls in fake ancient wood or stone, stuff like that. Really oldschool with little paintbrush and patience, miracle stuff.
But now that I'm thinking about it, a white marble GS tank would be something of a head turner. ;-)
