Anyone had this prob with carb vara,

Only starting on choke- even when warm! once started try to rev and dies.
Seems like fuel starvation?

Does it have a fuel pump, if so is this the same prob as the AT's have
Cant see or hear the pump, this is an intermittent fault which is very frustrating.
Any help would be great, thanks
Marcus

Hmmmm, no probs starting mine at the moment....and not using choke as the air temp is so great.

Would be good to get some Tech data up for the Vara's....been looking for a Haynes Manual/Workshop Manual on t'internet, but just seem to find endless links that lead nowhere!

Hi Marcus,

Looks like a pump similar to that of the @T. Easy to get to when you remove the front belly pan. I had a look at the service manual that I bought when I had mine, got it off ebay for a fiver in CD format. It looks like the Honda manual rather than the Haynes so goes into good detail.

I'd just do the basic checks to see if the pump is working to full potential, check the inline filter just in case it's choked. If all's ok with the fuel delivery move on to the carbs. Any info or schematics you need let me know mate.
