Hi All,
I plan spend this weekend touring around the Brecon Beacons National Park (weather permitting).
Does anyone have any suggestions? Nice (affordable) places to stay? Must see sights, must ride roads, must eat foods?
Any suggestions welcome,
JB
Every single road around there is worth riding, they are all fantastic slices of smooth tarmac .

Let me give J a nudge when he comes in, although his bike is going to the doctors tomorrow I may let him borrow............................................ .................................................. ...
sod that for a game of soilders, he touches my bike I break his arms :D
Anyway, I'll give him a nudge he'll know some excellent routes.
Of hand I would say, the Brynich campsite (http://www.brynich.co.uk/caravan/) is excellent with good facilities, there are loads of B and B's in brecon and around that area.
Maybe out Sat pm me your no I would gladly show you some nice roads:)

If your into camping there's a good site in TALYBONT, good pubs, half decent food, pretty much smack centre of the Beacons. I sure one of the pubs has a bunk house, if you don't mind roughing it, Can't remember the name, one of the Welsh guys may know.

There is also an absolutely fantastic campsite at Dan yr Ogof Showcaves and it is in the middle of some glorious biking roads so well worth it
Dan yr Ogof (http://www.multimap.com/maps/#t=l&map=51.82934,-3.68286%7C11%7C4&loc=GB:51.82934:-3.68286:16%7CSA9%201GJ%7CSA9%201GJ)

Lots of great roads including:
A4059 Hirwaun-Brecon direction
B4560 Brynmawr-Llangynidr
Smaller roads to look out for:
small road from Llanthony Priory (stop for a look around) up over Hay Bluff towards Hay on Wye.
Ride up to Grwyn Fawr resevoir (ride up stony byway to resevoir).
Ystradfellte-Heol Senni (Look out for stone pinnacle and Sarn Helen)
Road from Talybont up and over past Abercynafon. (go up to Neuadd dead end for great views (or walk up Pen Y Fan).
Three Cocks pub north of Brecon is a good but pricey B&B (No 1 on Tripadvisor).
Have fun.

Wow!
Thanks for all the great tips, not to mention the invites for a personal tour!
Unfortunately, the weather forecast has a heavy rain warning for Wales out, and after a quick check of the weather elsewhere in the country, I've decided to go east (they may see some sunshine!).
Not to worry, Brecon Beacons is still very high on my list (no. 1) so the next time I have a weekend to spare (hopefully in 2 weeks time), I'll come over that way.
Many thanks for the tips, and I hope to ride out with some of you in a few weeks.
