Thought I'd be first!
Email from the dealer in Manila today!:blob:
The luggage and frames, crash bars, gel seat etc etc have already arrived, but no bike yet, bugg*r it!:( They said the'd call me today with the expected date, yeeehaaaa!:D And they're still trying to source TKC-80's too!

Arriving Manila on the boat, end first week July. Ready for pick up 14th July. Riding home, 4 islands, 3 ferries, and some of the worst roads but friendliest people, imaginable! Yippeeeee!:blob5::thumbup:

Went through the Manila dealers last Thurs morn, seen my new gel seat, all the luggage & fittings, rad'r guard, etc etc, but not the bike....still hurtling its way through the open ocean somewhere in a container!:rolleyes: Opted for the Scorpions too, as they're the 'only game in town' at the moment.

I'd just like to say.......would you lot over there, just stop buying these bikes for a moment, please!!!
Got word from the dealer in Manila this morning, that my bike will now be delayed till at least mid August!:pale:
This is entirely due to the factory being unable to cope with the demand for the beasties!:rolleyes:
So come on guys, leave a few for the Eastern Hemisphere!
I think that KTM's motto, "Ready for adventure", should be qualified by the addition of:- "Aye, bl**dy right, months ago!":D

The Adventure's in a container, left the factory on June 29th, on it's way by road to a port somewhere. The agent has even changed the original shipping route so from there, it will be 'whisked' to Hong Kong direct then Manila! (And it is not alone, apparently it has three other travelling companions, due to new local demand!) YeeHaaa! :blob7:
The dealer has agreed to recover the gel seat from black to KTM satuma orange, at no extra charge and have offered a 5% discount on all the extra stuff) to make up for the disappointment of the delay!:thumbup:
ETA 3rd week August, when I should be back in the Philippines.:D:D:D

Had an email from the dealer this afternoon, bike should arrive early next week then into customs for clearance!:blob2: One week to clear.:( Then, into the showroom for fitting the extras and checking, fitting the G-2, Akro's and remapping then ready for me!:blob2: Pity, I'm stuck in Myanmar till at least the 27th, (going offshore on Saturday).:( However, they did mention that they won't sell it, :blob2:, unless they get a really great offer! (They're only joking I think. If you read there's been a massacre in the only KTM dealer in Philippines at month end, you'll know they weren't!)
3 weeks to go, YeeeeeeeHaaaaa!:D:D:D
(You may wonder why I'm making such a big deal of this, it'll be the first new vehicle I've ever had in my life and at over 50 now, I suppose that's pretty sad!:D)

Just got back into Yangon, Myanmar from a 6 week hitch offshore and received the following email from the dealer in Manila:-

Never mind, I'll be leaving for Bangkok on Tuesday night, back to hospital for more tests/injections on Wednesday, then onto Manila Thursday. Banking on Friday morn, then off to the showroom in the afternoon to get acquainted with the "wee girl"! (Gives the wife a chance to get a flight up there and get ready for a trip up into the mountains on Saturday morning).
