nice bike to ride, and you cant see the front from the seat!
when it came out it was hamstrung by yamahas crazy overpricing policy, like the GTS1000 and bulldog. "they stayed away in droves" as they say.

sweet engine, why isnt it in some more bikes mr yamaha? like a super-tenere to take on the BMW F800GS, or update the cracking little TRX for an alternative to the monster/shiver/bandit/hornet?

its the same engine as in XTZ,and TDM its the 5th gen build...

My mate had one of these, I did take it for a little spin and quite liked it. Not enough to trade in Twinkletoes though

Well I think they're great, and I'm seriously tempted to get one next. I need a mile-cruncher, and being a munchkin there's no way I could manage a tall & heavy old AT or Vara.

Fortunately though I've not got a pot to p*ss in at the moment, so it's purely academic. :sad8:

i am riding the bike for the past close to 3yrs now.love it.bought it an 03 model with milege at 12,000km.now its 75000km...and besides the wear and tear such as chain,sprockets,i only replaced the chain tensioner once which only cost SGD$65.and DIY easily.
And all the time i only did is,gas it and ride.

but sadly,i am putting it on sale now.well,i am more of a dual sport guy...i might be trading it to something more that suits my needs...

i'm not too sure if i am making the right decision...i am so skeptical about the caponord with the electrical over the coil and infamous brown connector when i go do some research about it over the AFI forums...and whats more,parts won't come cheap here...
