buying tyres abroad

I have had tyres on back order at Busters for 2 weeks and they don't think they will arrive before I head off to play in the pyranees & france for 2 weeks.

Has any one bought and had tyres fitted in France / Northern Spain?
My french is ropey and my spanish non existant.

I have always struggled with @ tyres in the uk, with no-one stocking them and always having to order in. Is this likely to be the same in europe or am I more likely to find some off the shelf?

Come via London, or Micheldever I seem to remember are goo or @ tyres. To be honest though they will be cheaper in France and Spain. Remoto (or something like that ) is a Spanish supplier

We are traveling Plymouth - Santander.

The front tyre arrived today??!?? the rear is on back order but I may look out for a second hand back just to get me through the trip.
