Hi all KTM people
My mate has just acquired a ktm adventure and tonight we spent an hour or so fitting the ktm hard plastic luggage. Everything went well until we came to mount the top box to the new adaptor plate and found that it didn't go anywhere near it. the panniers fitted fine but the top box looks like it's missing something or that it is the total wrong box altogether. Are we doing something wrong or have we indeed been sent the wrong parts...the bike is identical looking to yours chad and i wondered if you have had any experience with the luggage system or if anyone could shed a bit of light on this peculiar problem... thanks in advance

Are you trying to fit the Hepco and Becker ( grey coloured) box or are you trying to fit the Givi (black) one?
The H&B fits on to a black tubular rear rack , (made of the same tubing as the pannier rails)
The Givi box fits on to a Givi adapter plate / bracket
................ I'll come back later with the KTM Part Numbers.
The standard KTM Aluminium flat (ish) plate thingy is binned in both cases.
Jolly bad show from the dealer if he let you buy a case without informing you that you need a rack and or adapter also ???????
Here is a pic of my rear rack (for the H&B box) click to enlarge

................ I'll come back later with the KTM Part No.
UPDATE :- Part numbers as follows
600.12.027.450 .........bracket for H&B top box
600.12.027.350 .........bracket for Givi boxes
Hope this helps.
