We need to be very careful of the wildlife in scotland. One biker in the UKBritButt Rally this weekend had the front of his bike totalled by a deer, and I had 2 quite close and one really really really close call with those lovely creatures. It's a SERIOUS issue on the roads - BUT, as it got light at 3am (I was watchin the sun come up over the nevis range) so they'll be easy enough to spot at a distance. It's when they are SUDDENLY in front of you your sphicter muscle earns it's worth in gold  :D

deer? light weights!

On the way to the xmas meet mudwiz and I came face to face with two tonnes of Angus longhorn beef standing in the middle of the road as we came round a downhill blind bend at speed through the national park in the pitch black, soon followed by about ten of his mates coming down hill from the darkness at speed straight at us. To say the the screeching was from my pants not mudwiz's tyres is an understatement!!
I think we would have been flattened to two blue transalp burgers if I didn't have the spots on and high viz vest.
