Went out for a run to squires today with 3 mates, i tried out one of them airhawk cushions for the first time and i've gotta say they're not bad what a difference it made cause... been going out training for the longest day and i've been finding i get real trouble in the backside department after just 150 miles or so and i was beginning to think that after 850 or so miles I could end up being the first person to die of bum-ache but these airhawk things make it loads better whole different ride they kind of mould to your rear quarters and mine being the way they are, thats quite a feat of engineering.. anyway just thought i'd pass it on for anyone who might be having similar problems they might not work for everyone but at the risk of sounding like a bad commercial they sort things for me anyway advert over you can now go back to your regular programmes

I love mine, but not everyone gets on with them.
It's best to keep them only just inflated. The common mistake most people make is to put too much air in them.

In terms of log distances something else will replace the bum ache though! I found my back aching on the way back from Isle of Skye.

yeah i've also had some of that as well but going to use an inflatable lifting belt to keep me back supported got a cruise control clip for the throttle and putting forward footpegs on the motech crash bars and to hell with the legality if my legs are screaming out to be straightened i wont care after hour upon hour of motorway road coming at me....

p.s. i was one of the 3 who heard about his airhawk everytime we stopped...but i must admit that after a quick test myself i have just ordered my own :D

Hello Pale Rider, where did you get the cruise control clip, and how does it work. Ta for now

he's probably still in bed :)

it's called a crampbuster;

only 6.99

http://www.crampbuster.com/ (for pics & a video)

it fits round the grip and when turned up it swivels around the throttle but when turned down it locks into place, so you get the desired speed you are comfortable with then just flick it up and rest your wrist on it.

I'm sure pale can give us a report on how it performs

Hi mate i ordered it from busters online catalogue thingy.. and like winxp-master says it just clips round your throttle, and you can just rest the back of your hand on it rather than grasp the throttle over long distances but you can still safely throttle off quickly in an emergency.. i can't remeber how much i paid for it now(thats what happens when you sit at the computer pissed...dont do it lol).. but seriously, it wasn't much more than a fiver i think or tight-arse me wouldn't have bought it lol:D
