Hi, forum virgin unfortunately and still learning. Passed my DA test in march this year after 2 months learning on a Suzuki intruder. and after sitting on almost every type of bike for sale in Southend on sea and Chelmsford , I tested (hopefully picture attached, no you like them) a 52 blue 650 Transalp and didn't stop smiling. And now its mine with an extra 4.5k on it, I love it, and the site, keep up the good work you all. The annual meet sounds good. talk later if I sus it. Appy daze. John Essex

Welcome Shrimper, very good choice of bike you have there, I love my transalp it's so much fun to ride and really reliable. The message a the top should go away now you have registered.
I am sure you've had a good look around the site but just in case here is a link to the transalp section (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=35) you'll get some excellent advice about the bikes in there
Other bits that you may want to look in are the meetings section (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=40) for details of planned rides and if there is nothing there then post one up and see who is about.
If you get bored you can always pull up a chair and put your feet up in the Chatter (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=41) section for a natter. If your luckey you may well find the topics in there are bike related, having said that it usually just a vague link
After you have been here a while you may want to think about subscribing as well, fairly soon some of the functions that you currently have will no longer be available without subscription, it's just a way for us to be able to improve the site and add extra functions. If you look at the top of the page you will see the subscribe button. If it's not something you want to do that's fine too, you will still be able to post and read the posts that are here so don't go anywhere.
If there is anything you want to ask or if you have any problems then post in the problems with the forum section (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=46)there are lots of helpful moderators and admins around that will help
Have fun and if there is anything you need give us a shout.
