How do!
Am looking to throw a leg over an AT after years having one over a Funduro. What can I expect!!?
Are there many of you ladies and gents of the Irish extraction? Im on the case to find a circa '98 machine to get started.
All advice mucho welcome!

Hi Cookie, welcome to the site, we've had an influx of new members today so if you've already read what I say you'll have to excuse me. I forget what I've told people now.
The AT is a fantastic bike, I took mine out for it's first ride since I bought it a couple of months ago and loved it. It is very smooth and purrs like a happy puddy cat.
Take a look around the site, you'll find loads of information, if you look around the posts in the Africa Twin (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34)bit there is lots of info in there
Other bits that you may want to look in are the meetings section (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=40), we have lots of members in Ireland so keep an eye in the Irish meetups, Northern Ireland (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=10286) and the republic of Ireland (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=10284)and if there is nothing there then post one up and see who is about.
Take a peek in the Chatter (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=41) section we stop of a gossip, and if your lucky you may well find the topics in there are bike related, wouldn't hold your breath though they talk about everything in there.
After you have been here a while you may want to think about subscribing as well, fairly soon some of the functions that you currently have will no longer be available without subscription, it's just a way for us to be able to improve the site and add extra functions. If you look at the top of the page you will see the subscribe button. If it's not something you want to do that's fine too, you will still be able to post and read the posts that are here so don't go anywhere.
If there is anything you want to ask or if you have any problems then post in the problems with the forum section (http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=46)there are lots of helpful moderators and admins around that will help
