Hi Peeps,
Just bought an Africa Twin here in Nigeria. I'm a Brit running a telecom company here and thought I'd get a bike to overcome my dislike of the completely manic traffic here in Lagos.
Here, there are no rules, no-one has ever taken lessons, passed a test or even have any manners or respect for their fellow humans.
When on the road, as a whitey we are liable to get stopped and made to pay bribes, get surrounded and attacked by mobs or simply get spat on.
My buddy has bought a KTM 640 to acoompany me on my twin.
I have a very compact Samsung disgital camera which I intend to mount on the bike and see if I can capture some of the general craziness and post short movies.
I look forwad to some assistance and some pretty funny posts.
For a better idea of what it's like to be a white man in Nigeria you could take a look at www.oyibosonline.com (http://www.oyibosonline.com), our local website.
Type at you later.
Best regards
