I'll be trying to leave Lewisham quite early to take the M25 before the traffic (otherwise I'll need to wait until at least 9.30 before setting off, which is another possibility).
Then it will be straight M3, A303, if that helps.

A38 at Exeter could be interesting then, as everyone congregates from the north and east :D Or do I go along the B3212 through Moretonhampstead - looks like a nice squiggly road
I *should * be getting there at around 3pm or so on Thursday, maybe a bit earlier (depends on the M6/M5 traffic )

I was thinking that needs including in any off-road route as there are few off-road tracks anyway,

Follow A38 to Ashburton (2nd exit) - the road to Princetown from Ashburton is winding and interesting!

I have no idea about the exact when and where, but I'll be in the Christchurch area picking up a teapot before heading to Dartmoor, somewhere wednesday/thursdayish.
(Not good at planning, me. I'm going in more or less blind. Oh well, should be fun either way. ;-) )

There's a few bikers getting together somewhere too, or so I've heard. ;-)

The things people will do these days to save on eBay postage costs :D

Thats my problem too, just charging on down, no plan or nothing :D. Looks like it could be a better idea for people from all over to congregate at a certain point and all ride in from there. I suck at planning :p

How about this for dysfunctional planning. Let's swap mobile numbers by PM and let people know where we are at what time on the given day. If a couple of us then find that meeting up is relatively easy, so be it. It worked on The Longest Day.
I'll PM you Raven and let you know what time I leave and where and when I stop for fuel/breakfast.

One for the rubber chicken - if you are in to Teapots as it were, we are in Bournemouth next to Christchurch and used to collect Novelty Teapots - Loads of them in the shed - about 150 of em.
Are you picking up something special? Let me know out of interest - I still "keep an eye" on them from a distance but I have stopped buying for the time being.
Will be going on to Dartmoor - ETD not decided due to work rotas being finalised.

I'm planning to go down from Portland on the Thursday. I could meet you around Dorchester and ride on down with you.

My interest in teapots is purely practical, if it holds tea it's a goodun. :-)
This particular teapot is for a friend's Goblin D25 Teasmade. They're a bit hard to come by here, so ebay it was... And if I'm over there anyway I might as well pick it up.
Hope I don't break it on the way back.
I'll pick that up on wednesday afternoon, and then carry on to Dartmoor, unless I find something else to do. ;-)
