Just as another tip have a look through the memberlist as see if anyone shows as being around your area and drop them a private message through the forum software.
Also Paultheold mentioned joining your local Honda Owners Club as well which I'm sure is well worth doing. There's a thread on it somewhere in one of the forums!
And if there's not enough action from that route then try the BigTrailBike club they have regular events out and about, charging about like mad men! http://www.bigtrailbike.com/
