They say a bad day riding is better than a good day at work. Today I had to go to Highworth (Swindon) to look at a job. Was going to take the train but since it was such a nice "breezy" autum day, I thought it would be a good chance to take the bike & scrub in the new tyres. Also, checked out the Ridgeway on the way back - Section between Ashbury (Waylands Smithy) and Wantage...

Being chalky, the track is quite dry, except the big puddles & a few greasy sections. Worth a look, not recommended at this time of the year unless you are runnning knobblies, but I will definately be back for a decent look next summer.
