Hi,
Has anyone experienced long delays/poor feedback after ordering parts from Touratech? I have been waiting well over a month for Crash Bars/Gear Selector!

I think that as with most companies like this, that it is best to check stock levels before you pay. I experienced the same problems with Touratech, although they were quite apologetic, I still had to chase them up, but they were able to give estimated delivery times.
The worst offenders for this without question are M&P, who I refuse to deal with now, after to many problems.
Did you order on-line or phone them? I always order stuff from them over the phone, much quicker & they tell you if it is in stock or comming from Germany. Nothing has ever taken longer than what they said it would. There have been previous posts on this site about delays in using their on-line ordering system.
That'll be the on-line ordering then, I got a reply from Touratech UK today, they said my parts should be ready for despatch next week which is fair enough...!
Cheers

Touratech delivery is the pits, I waited weeks for crash bars. the excuse was that they were just setting up in England.
Juust got my hand protectors from them wated weeks and had to chase them up, very apologetic, I could have them from Acrebis for £10 cheaper turns out thats where Touratech get them!!

I waited a year for a seat once.

If you do a search on them here and on the HUBB you will find that TTUK is the worst company of record.. and many are being to feel that the products are not worth the waits either..
I hate those guys...

It's all about the brand. They have some nice well thought out stuff like their Sat Nav mounts but other stuff is either re-branded or just not as good as the competition but it won't stop people buying it because has their logo on it.

10 weeks to get a set of crash bars for the Transalp !!
I purchased a Touring screen for my transalp rom TT online, and the item had arrived before the week was out. As it turned out, it was just a rebranded Powerbronze screen, and it fouled the handlebars on full lock. I asked them if I could return it which they agreed to no problems, and once they received it they refunded me promptly, even all my postage cost. So to be honest I cannot fault their service or after sales service, because with me they have been brilliant.
The only thing I would say is ask over the phone wether it is an item they have made in house or an item supplied by a third party (i.e Powerbronze, Acerbis etc.) as they often sell these for a premium (my Powerbronze screen was £89 from TT, or £60 from Powerbronze direct ).

Maybe they are trying to change. a year ago..i ordered some draw haps.. they sent me some key locks...Not even close to the same thing.. THEIR FAULT, even the invoice said i ordered the hasps. Yes they took them back (packages up opened), I had to pay for shipping BOTH WAYS, and they charged me 20% of the total including original shipping as a restocking fee! A$$HOLES!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
I think i yelled obscenities at the poor guy on the phone for 1/2 hour.. until MY boss came in and asked me to stop!!!...

i ordered a satnav bracket a couple of years ago, i phoned the order through they billed me and it never turned up they did eventually refund me but i found service very poor, i have heard rumours that service has got a bit better but i'm not ordering anything from them unless its something i cant get anywhere else
I think this is common with companies who have shot to fame via Long way up/down/round gear, I tried to get a delivery date for a new Adventure GS last month and they were says 2-3 months Min, they didn't even have a catalog at the dealers cos everyone wants to do a Charlie & Ewan lookalike and at £12K+ OTR, they can keep it.
