Managed to get a ride out on Saturday.
Two of us on Africa Twins, (Ray and myself).
Set off from near Manchester up into the Yorkshire Dales to Richmond, visited the Altberg boot factory then back home for a takeway.
Covered about 200 miles, great roads, great scenery, great weather, good meal at the end of it - lifes great sometimes
If this works here's a couple of pics (taken by Ray)

These were taken on the unclassified road from Kettlewell to Middleham (1 in 4 climb) bloody cold up there.
I can't wait for the next ride out.

I was up there not too long ago! The kettlewell road is quite cool. There's a few more like that around there!

Fewtrees,
Have you got details (Road numbers or directions to) of other similar roads in the area.

The other road I tried around there was the unclassified road south of Kettlewell off the B6160 -> Arncliffe -> Litton ->Halton Gill -> Stainforth.

Here's a pic or two..

http://www.xrv.org.uk/getimage.php?id=462 - I didn't go down this - way too boggy with road tyres...

Malham in the same area is also good.

Not too far from Middleham is East Witton which has a gastro pub, called the Blue Lion www.thebluelion.co.uk

Thanks,
I'll try to get up there and have a look when we get another decent weekend.
I reckon you're right about the tyres - my well worn T66's had me feeling like I was riding on ice up there and I'd only driven a few yards off the road to park up.
