Hello !

Just picked up a lovely 87 TA with FSH 34K.

After many years of riding Trials I decided to pack it and get a Seat !

The bike is running fine but for one small problem......

I sometimes get some popping on the after letting off the throttle when slowing down etc.

Its not too bad but I have been told that I could have a leak on an air valve on the carbs ?
Is this a common weak spot ?

Any help would be great.

Congrat's on the 'alp - it's a truly great bike. As for the popping; completely normal and nothing to worry about.

I don't see a problem there either.

My 600 popped on the overrun, so does my 650.

The previous owner did say that it never used to Pop ?

I love the bike to bits tho !

I do need to drop it just a little bit as I do feel that its a bit tall !

I am about 14.5 stone and am a stocky 5ft7in tall.

The Rear shock was wound right up, so I set it about half way which has helped but I think that the seat has to go to 'Dave the stitch' for a bit of a chop down !

Any tips ? Anybody else the same size as me on a TA ?
