Help please
Started up this morning as usual, choke on for 3-4 mins, then choke off, first gear, up driveway -----dead.

Repeated attemts over 15 mins with choke on, or choke off, gaps of 1-2 mins in between, opening throttle, closed etc.
Makes normal starting noises , just won't catch.

Any ideas? :(

Had to take bloody car

:D I'm a cretin :D

In a meeting at five past ten this morning and the light finally goes on, get home at lunchtime and there it is mocking me, a partially depressed kill switch, one turn and rrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm. :D

As I turned around this morning to wave to smallest daughter who insisted on coming out to see me leave, I must have touched it, just enough to lift it just off fully down :P

Still, better I found it than an €80 call out chappie

p.s. Bet your all pissing yourselves at the newbie spanner :)

I'll bet everyone does this ONCE!

I seemed to have managed it whilst performing a U-turn. It took about 2 weeks for my back to work properly again!

Flicking a mate's kill switch at a petrol stop is a top wind up. I've had it done to me - it causes bewilderment, then panic and fear - do it a long way from home for maximum effect!

Half a dozen of these would make a great 'Candid Camera' show.

when the scrotes tried (and failed) to nick my bike when I was still in Belfast, they must've hit the kill switch. Result? I jump to conclusions whilst still in a rage and figure they've fecked the immobiliser. One call to breakdown recovery later and the result is a very red faced John Boy.

argggggghhhhhhhh
Now my batteries flat - must have been all the starting attempts.

Will a normal car battery charger do - ie the cheap one in Argos??
Or do I have to get a special motorcycle one???

- I was planning a trip tomorrow evening :x

cheers

Hi Chucky

I use my dad's thrity year old charger so see no problems.

Whilst trying to test a Blade last summer I could not get it to start in front of a dozen of my peers. The oldest and "smartest" gentleman walks over flicks the kill switch, shakes his head and walks away. The rest are either openingly laughing or smirking and muttering. The bike started perfectly. God I wanted it not to start.

regards
Jak

Thanks guys
Argos jobby pumping my battery full of cheap juice right now.
Fingers crossed for trip later :D

Unfortunately forecast for Sunny South West says:.....

Sunny spells and occasional heavy or thundery showers today

Maybe a touch of lightening will help with my battery problem :D  :D
