Daft question maybe

How far North can you get without hitting frozen roads.

May be take a 5 day trip over at the end of Sept.

Will it be freezing cold. Can you get into the edge of the Artic circle safely?

At the moment you can get all the way to Nordkapp as myself and a few others on this site have done. Even in July I was thankful that I had a heated waistcoat. Not sure about Sept, maybe check out some weather sites eg http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/01052.html
