Bit late but im new !! Moneyscalp forest (newcastle)
ballypatrick forest (ballycastle) also outside Larne Capanagh wood and ballyboley wood ! if you head for larne then take the 36 for Ballymena Shanes Hill and turn off at Starbog rd . oddles of great roads and tracks to be found
sounds interesting. If you fancy showing me them sometime then give me a shout.
Hi Simon i was in Newcastle today doing a delivery in the van. Anyway i went up to find the Moneyscalp forest and found an entrance to it WITH a sign "Mountain bike Trail" I would say " After getting round the gate " It would be very risky to go in there with anything more than an enduro bike as it looks quite rough going, Plus a good chance of getting caught and fined . Maybe WEE BRO would know better as he is more local to that area. fw750x
I've been in moneyscalp on both my mountain bike and on the dommie with Eugen1. Not that great for the dommie. Its the other stuff i'm interested in up north.

Nahhh ! never ! just a "what the hell u think your playing at" or the ususal "you aint allowed in here"
act dumb and your accuser just gets DUMBER !
Hi Montydero and Simon i went up to Starbog Road today for a spin , The Entrance to Capanagh Wood is it the one on the left just after the Sign . It is only a single track by the looks of it Does that gate get locked at any time or was i at the wrong gate.I did not want to risk it in case i was using someone,s drive way or got locked in. living in armagh city, i usually play around the forests of south armagh, (fews, slieve gullion etc). havent took the TA up there yet only klr, but im sure it will be no problem. never really come across anyone now area is de-militarised, maybe an odd rambler or courting couple in a car.:toothy3:
(fews, slieve gullion etc). great places, there used to be a sign at slieve gullion entrance saying motorcycles prohibited:mad: surely that would be discrimination? if you only own a bike and not a car? also what is the craic about riding on canal towpaths? are you allowed? signs dont mention motorcycles;) I love searching out new trails to take the 3aj up, but would like to know just what the legalities are.
