I guess this is referring to the Elefantentreffen, run by the Bundesverband der Motorradfahrer. From what I've heard it's a seriously hardcore camping weekend, mainly attended by certifiable Germans. Sound like a lot of laughs!

...the Elefantentreffen... it's a seriously hardcore camping weekend, mainly attended by certifiable Germans...
My mate went this year, with his lass, on two Honda C90s. I suspect many Germans on big trailies were a bit shown up. I find myself thinking that this year, going on my Transalp, I'd feel a bit nancy in comparison. Sort of spoiled it for me, really...
Next year my mate is taking his C90 to the Nordkapp in winter...

i went a few years ago, a place near Passau, thought it a bit weird when the nice and flat field next door to the rally was occupied by a bunch of sados', who had set up camp to watch the goings on of the rally.
Still i will agree it was cold, ice formed on the otside of my sleeping bag and my beer was freezing up in the time it left the can to my mouth, i thought at first some joker had put gravel in the can
first night customery walk to the chapel to say a prayer for whom died on route. sorry to report that i only got as fars as the nearest pub. Urmmm those where the days
i'm interested!!! any idea on costs?
