Only 4 more km and mine finally reaches 50,000 (km), since it's an '88 RD03 and looks genuine I guess all the other owners must have been fair weather wimps like me!

I really like the look and idea of BMW GS1100 and 1150 but I've never been convinced they are up to serious mileage in the shaft department. I'd rather buy a new chain every few years than have to replace universal joints and spliny type things.

I'm afraid it does look like it's done starship mileages in real life as Maverick can attest to.
