    You are only allowed in the truck if you bring the beer suplies from the mainland so i dont have to worry about my beer cans popping when i drop my bike during the crossing

    I used to go over to Piel in the boat and camp in the castle. They had paraffin lamps in the pub which the landlord used to pump up when it got too dark to find your pint. They've spoilt it now with mod cons like electricity!
