    Arai Autocom Helmet Speaker problem

Just tried to fit my Autocom speakers inside my Arai, which is a snug fit, and found it hurts my ears .
The gap in the cheek pads for your ears seem too small when I put the speakers in - never thought I had particularly big ears either?
Anyone had this problem before - what did you do - can I remove some of the hard white material - not the foam - the polywhatjamacallit stuff?

    Cheers

Hopefully someone will come up with a clever answer. I'm having the same problem with my BMW helmet.

No, I don't have a BMW, just the helmet. (Busy saving though)

Has anyone actually soldered/attached new/different earpieces to the original Autocom wiring?

Remove all the padding from the earpieces and use a bit of tape or sticky back velcro to secure. Don't compromise the helmet's security or comfort for the earpieces.

Thanks - you really are Mr Niceguy.
I removed tha padding and velcro and jammed it in a bit further - much more comfortable now.
Might need to fiddle a bit more but should be ok
    thanks

I spent days gettingthem right in my Shoei Xr1000. Did it eventually though, but Autocom wrote to me and said it can be difficult. Next helemt will have speakers or spaces for speakers built in.

I had exactly the same issue with my Shoei XR1000 - see previous thread for how I resolved it.......

Austin - I'd like to see how you fitted your microphone into the XR1000 - mine isn't a very satisfactory fit especially with the lead connector taped to the side.

Could you post a few pics of how you did it.....
