Best bike to Bike Comms??

I need to check out some comms too as it happens - how does the bike to bike thingy work - if I have an autocom system fitted, on the bike, can I talk to anyone else with an autocom fitted???

I have a simple portable autocom that I use with the girls oin the back of the bike - just a batttery box with a few leads that fits in your pocket but the mike and earphones are ace so for a bike to bike Id be tempted with a suitable autocom.

You need a suitable 2 way radio (check with very clever and helpful guys at autocom before you buy) and a pigtail lead to suit, which plugs into the grey lead.

I actually get a better level of clarity etc using the bike 2 bike when she's out on her bike than I do when she is plugged in directly sat behind me pillion. Weird but true?!?

Also I've found :- bike to bus, bike to truck, bike to buffalo cart, bike to bicycle, bike to pedestrians, etc etc.
I agree, a truely excellent, "no misunderstanding and fully self-satisfying" way of communication.
Sometimes I don't even need the bike either!

she's going to nag me cause i fogot my password, but anyway have a look at maplins they sell pmr radios £50 for 4 which transmit on the same chanels as auto and star coms. the helmet kits are £30 with flat speakers and mic and ptp easy to fit

I've got one of those 2 way radios from Lidl (dont laugh it was bought for me) works almost fine up to 4 meters at standstill so I am looking for summit a wee bit better they all claim 4K in open areas can anyone verify that if so with what make.
