    Etymotic ER6i

    Hi All
Just drove in to work with these on this morning plugged into my mobile phone.
As a test I decided on a old live accoustic guitar album to listen too.
Well these things are worth every penny.

Not only could I hear everything I only had the volume at 80% and my visor was open all the way in!

I've had the autocom for a while but can't get the speakers to fit comfortably in my Schuberth helmet which is much quieter than my Arai Corsair - hence the Er6i's.

Now I just need to wire in a normal socket into the autocom loom and remove the speakers. Has anyone done this already with any success/failure?

    cheers

You could hear everything? WE could hear everything! And that's across the Irish Sea! Close the visor next time, mate.

(BTW, nice choice of music. )

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Etymotic er6i are probably the best ear buds for a m'cycle helmet
in the world. Go to any m'cycle forum...anywhere, and when the question gets asked as to what are the the most comfortable buds with great sound the er6i always wins out. I love the great bass.
I'm surprised no one in the UK carries these USA made headphones.

Used pair for sale here. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Etymotic-ER6i-...QQcmdZViewItem

I started off with the the Shure earbuds, then moved up to the Ultimate Ear Monitor 75's - AWESOME.

Anyhoo - back to your original question - Autocom do a specail lead that plugs inbetween your headset and main unit lead that allows you to plug in your Etymotics / Shure / Ultimate / etc earbuds with no cutting. For the Autocom headset headphones, just cut them off and insulate the bare ends so you are only left with the microphone in your helmet.

Give Autocom a ring and tell them you have the Etymotics and they'll know which bit you need.
