    Radio / Headset Recommendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good radio and headset for bike to bike communications with decent range and reliability.

I was thinking of something along the lines of a Motorola TLKR T7 ? But have no idea about a headset.

The best thing would be to look at the Autocom / Starcom setup.
They are expandable and work well.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

The legal PMRs are crap, a friend who Marshalls with the bike for cycle races uses a CB radio which has much better range.

If you wand a range of more than a mile then I agree with Phil. However all our use is when riding together and the PMR stuff is great. The range is big enough for our use but short enough that we don't hear other users miles away. It's swings an roundabouts.

What I would add is for bike use you do need good noise cancelling microphones and don't rely of vox. No one else wants to hear you singing, shouting, chatting on the phone or the wind noise rushing past your helmet.

Easiest and most reliable option is something like an autocom.

    Thanks for the input guys.

I am not really in the market for a Autocom / Starcom - too expensive for my needs, really I am just after recommendations for a good PMR radio and headset.
