Never used the autocom so don't know how it will compare but it has only once cut out on me and that was right next to the airport, put it down to some kind of interference with the signal.

    All the best.
    they're the ones I had,

worked great for sat nav, rider / pillion intercom was good upto about 50mph when I found speech quality broke down to a point that you couldn't understand what was being said.

that said for the price they are well worth the money and you need to spend 5 times that to get something much better

    Re: Cardo Scala

I've used the Cardo Scala and must admit it's not all it's cracked up to be. As far as distance is concerned I managed about a kilometre with clear line of site, but in heavy traffic, woods, trails and cities it really was hit or miss. The vox didn't work incredibly well plus once you've un-synced with the other device knowing when you're connected again is vague.

I’d recommend the Starcom unit. I used one for a two week trip around Europe and it was great. I have a spare in the garage somewhere (might need a lead or two though). It has the optional Bluetooth option for connecting to phones, sat navs etc.

I haven't looked for a while but I wasn't impressed with many on the market at the moment. Most use the seperate radio option which is good because you can use the free PMR range or buy a license and go for some high powered option. Plus is nice having a seperate radio to use sometimes.

    Hope this helps.
