Solar Powered Battery Charger- Top up

Hi Guys,
I'm looking to fit a solar powered trickle charger on my old XTZ660, I've seen the kind of ones I want, but doesn't say if they are waterproof, and want to fit it permanantley on either a bit of fairing on on top of my top box.

Has anyone got one, used one, heard of one in action or any general advice to give?

i got one in my camper (from maplins) seems to work ok but i think you have to disconect them before starting the bike/car or it wont last long.

I had checked out a few models on the Maplins site, wasn't too sure on the best rating or my beast (one of my reasons for seeking bigger brains
