re: Advice required please - CONTINENTAL ESCAPE tyres
I have conti escapes on a 1998 Transalp, on my second set. Last well, look good and no problems re handling, also reasonable price.
My mate has a Vstrom and he just had some fitted, he has noticed a difference for the better. UP THE WORKERS! |

Re: Advice required please - CONTINENTAL ESCAPE tyres
I've got Escapes on my AT, my second set in succession. Escapes are a good all round tyre in the wet or the dry and 'feel' the same as a TKC80 on the road (neutral) but without the riding-over-corrugations feeling you sometimes get with worn TKC's. I've also tried Dunlops (can't remember which ones) and Tourances as well as TKC's. For on road work the Escapes get my vote.

Re: Advice required please - CONTINENTAL ESCAPE tyres
Hi
Have Mitas E-08 on front. Good tyre me thinks. Had Avon Distanza last time and hated that. I have ridden the E-08 it on wet and dry runs and i like it very much. Covered almost 5000 km, tarmac and some gravel. Looks like i can drive at least 3-4000 km more on it. At first the rubber felt a little hard but i belive it was only the outer vulcanised part that had to be worn down. Can recommend it. |

Re: Advice required please - CONTINENTAL ESCAPE tyres
Hi, thanks for all of your input. You all just posted your views in time for me to make my order. I have gone for CONTINENTAL ESCAPES, as I said in my first post, I had real trouble trying to get the Mitas E08's. Found some really nice guys on Ebay called the thetyreguys, they have let me have a pair of ESCAPES for £117, all in with postage and they reckon they will be with me tomorrow.
Thanks for your help Bob |

Re: Advice required please - CONTINENTAL ESCAPE tyres
Re internet prices, I always go to my local bike shop and ask him if he can supply and fit at internet prices, I tell him I'd rather give him the money than someone I don't know.
He always matches the internet price. Support your local lad if you can, at least give them the chance to price match. UP THE WORKERS! |

Re: Advice required please - CONTINENTAL ESCAPE tyres
I've had Annakees and Escapes - for road Annakees are far superior. They grip amazingly in the wet. Escapes last well and are better on pistes (though are proper scary on loose stuff!!)
