Gebring Heated Insoles
Not sure if this is the right place for this!
Got myself a pair of these babies of ebay. Not cheap! But Cor! why has it taken me so long to discover these?? 12volt, wired direct to battery via 3 amp fuse, insoles stuffed inside my old boots to replace old wornout insoles Nice toasty feet for 300 mile round trip last weekend, return leg (no pun intended!) in sleet & snow. Strange thing was, with warm feet, and warm hands from heated grips, the rest of my body felt perfectly warm & comfortable, even in temps hovering just above zero. |

Re: Gebring Heated Insoles
How are these things in the wet? My boots seem to let water in around the joint if the sole and leather boot, around the sides as such.
I only ever get wet soles around the arch if my feet, maybe a bit around the balls of my feet also. Would this damage the insoles?

Re: Gebring Heated Insoles
Far better than my old HG boots, they just leak rain at anytime through the gear change protector pad behind the toes - its just a sponge.

Re: Gebring Heated Insoles
Have you tried Sealskinz socks? Again not cheap, but cheaper than new boots.
My boots aren't as waterproof as they used to be, but Sealskins in the inside, and liberal coatings of Nikwax on the outside seem to do the job. My problem was that, this time of year my feet got cold rather than wet, so heated insoles were the answer to my prayers! |
