Scott Leathers...?

Anyone heard of them, know their reputation?
I'm looking at their new Hi-Viz jacket having seen it at the London Bike show today, seem like a nice bunch too.

Took a pic with flash and the reflective bits are Very good, I'll try to post it later.

Re: Scott Leathers...?

Their name does sound familiar, I think they were around in the '70's.

Re: Scott Leathers...?

I looked into this company last year when I was looking for a leather jacket. I didn't find anyhthing but good about them but decided their leathers were too sporty for me. Their textile jackets look like very good value as long they stay waterproof. I understand they are used by several police forces. You can that either way of course.

Re: Scott Leathers...?

Scott leathers where used by TT and RoadRacers for years, Joey being a sponsored rider for a lot of his career. Local shop in Norwich used to be a bespoke supplier of their kit but thats all leather.

The material clothing range used to vary in range as it wasnt their most popular line but always seemed good, just overpriced and yes that went hand in hand with quality and off the back of police forces using it which governed design etc.

They seemed to disapear over recent years as a brand.

Wouldnt hesitate in buying it individually but wouldnt count on the existence of a matching range to add to etc.

Excellent leathers, and made in the UK too (Barnard Castle). It's nice to be able to return things to the original maker if you happen to bust a zip or something. Will also do alterations at very reasonable cost if for any reason you should happen to change shape or something

No personal experience of the fabric clothing.

Don't mistake with the other Scott who make (amongst other things) some bike gear, and even have an almost identical logo:

Re: Scott Leathers...?

Thanks for your views guys. After I get the chain and sprockets sorted and paid for... I might go for a set of these...

Unless I see something better that doesn't cost the earth!!
