Can't help thinking that this thread is getting out of hand.

I'm sure that Wayne gave you the information based on what he thought correct at the time.

The fact that it turned out to be much worse (in your eyes) is the reason we go & check used items over before we buy them, sure 600 miles is a long way for nothing but sh*t happens. Get over it.......

Why do you think its gettin out of hand, just telling it as is, "what someone thinks to be correct at the time" is no excuse for selling dangerous bikes...every bike ive ever sold...ive cleaned and checked for everything, and ive never had any probs..

Listen Phil, you did not see the wheels, the only regret (apart from going up in the frist place) is to take photo's... and yes your right, you do check things, thank christ i did!! but when you are aware of problems with certain bikes and you make a point of asking about them, and then given false information... "whether is was thought to be correct at the time" is bang out of order.. especailly when it concerns bikes..

But there, as you put it "sh!T happens" get over it...yeah i will, may not have been the same story if i rode it home..
can you imagine, if some half soaked twonk, (believe me there are plenty about) bought that bike yesterday, and hadnt checked those wheels properly and wiped out on the way home... without a shadow of a doubt those wheels would of done, christ there was a crack about two inches long where the rim had bust open with corrosion..
