Heard right but not for long. I sold the Basic and for what I got for it I funded a week in NY the other week and and bought a minty RT but as soon as its been to Germany in 4 weeks its up for sale. Great bike but dull as dish water and I still fancy trail riding and a holiday in the Pyrenees sometime.

I'm not being funny but try before you buy this time, the XR650R is probably not a lot different to the Xchallenge you had, the XR is a kicker only as you well know. Another option is the XR650L I think they are electric boot but not sure.

My hobbit stature make them a pain to kick so when I find one I will probably lower it a little so my first question would be lowering link or proper suspension mod to lower and re-valve.

Yeah I never took to the Xchallenge in the very short time I owned it, mind you I had some real lower back problems at the time and they are happily a distant memory. The XR650L with the electric start might well be the better option. As I said, think I will see if I can find a couple locally so I can have a closer look.
