If you are still looking for the bike I just found and got a 1998 AT , it is a real treasure find: only 2 owners, original 22000 km, thats only 14200 miles, black colour, i got it home yesterday, it was left covered in a garage since 2004. Sorry to here this if it is the same man. I had one Africa Twin before ,have great memories riding it and regreted selling it so kept looking for the one even when I know i cant afford to keep one at the moment but could not resist getting it. it is emotional and i am still considering to keep it or not.
