Lower Seat for GS1150 Adventure ?

Do BMW do a lower seat option for the GS1150 Adventure... The standard seat height is toooo tall for a vertivally challenged 5'6
I know there is an option for the GS1200 Adv but the 1200's are out of my price range But the 1150 adventure's an option if I can reach 'terra ferma'.
Would I have need to have a seat specially adapted ?
Currently have an @ so tall bikes arn't an issue...

    Any advice would be great......

Yes I'm sure that BMW do one.
In fact if you buy a GSA with a standard one post a wanted ad on www.ukgser.com as someone may well be wanting to swap a standard seat for a lower one.

    Hi Nige

I swapped from an @ to a 1150GS (not the adventure) and it is lower than the Africa Twin. If you can reach the ground on that you shouldn't have a problem with the BMW.

The adv had three different seats available. Tall, standard and low. Unlike the normal GS, the seats aren't height adjustable.

Yes you can adjust the seat on a GS 1150 because it has 2 settings look under the seat. you can also get longer tie rods to lower the rear end do a google search

That's on the std GS, not on the Adventure.

Here's my Adv with the not at all adjustable standard height seat.

SORRY I missed the word adventure spoke to my Beemmer mechanic and the shocks on the adventure are one inch higher than normal GS,s so you could swap them.Tie rods are the bits of steel which connect your rear drive unit to the chassis. How many miles have your shocks done cause if you want I want adventure shocks for mine so we could swap them if you wanted mines done 24thou.
