It'll be rubbish off road.....
I know I am going to get quartered for this but... don't do it.
Last year I went riding with a person I know on the Alps around here. When we arrived at my favorite bit of road he insisted that I should try out his K1200R, since I have owned sportsbikes for years, I am quite fast (false...) etc and he wanted am opinion. I let myself be persuaded and I had the occasion to test the bike in a proper enviroment.
Stepping down from my VTR-SP (which apart from suspensions was still stock back then) I put the electronic suspensions in Sport Mode and decided to give the bike a good trash.
I only did two "laps" because plainly put I didn't like the bike, not one bit.
It carries around its enormous weight well but it still feels very heavy when compared to a Speed Triple, which is its closest contendant. It vibrates like a bag of bolts in a dishwasher over 6000 rpm, numbing your hands in minutes. It hasn't enough ground clearance to be a sportsbike (at least not in my book) and aerodynamic protection whatsoever.
I know I sound very demanding but I've owned and tested LOTS of sportsbikes in my riding years and this is one of those who failed to make the cut. Also I am very curious to know why it must use 98 RON fuel: Italian and Japanese bikes will use normal fuel without flinching.
Want a sporty BMW? Get a second-hand R1100S, it's much, much better and will run on ordinary fuel. Want a naked sportsbike with a funky look? Get a Speed Triple or a Tuono, though Aprilias are not what they used to be.
Sorry to sound harsh but this is one of those bikes I could not stomach.
I'm not going to buy it just liked it. If I want to be a bigger hooligan I've got a RRS fireblade to play on. oh and I've just made a silly offer on a speed triple
It'l be fine once you put TKC'S on it. Oh and a light grill, and bark busters.
IT IS BETTER TO TRAVEL ONE MILE THAN TO READ A THOUSAND BOOKS (CONFUSIUS 500 BC/ISH)AND A BIG UP TO IBN BATTUTA
