    Fuel Pump

Well the diagnosis on my 1150GS is that the fuel pump has broken. Now, whoever could think of putting the fuel pump inside the petrol tank, thus making a replacement really expensive.

However, once again, thanks to Motorworks who are supplying a second hand one.

In fact they are sending a fuel pump, side stand switch and gear selector thingy all for less than the price of a new fuel pump. And it will all be here for the weekend. So I should be back on the bike next week.

As it's in bits............again, it's also going to get an oil and spark plug change too, and a new air filter and fuel filter.

So if anyone feels like a ride out and stopping in for a coffee at the weekend to watch (read help out) feel free to drop in.

Then I think I need to see about having the fuel stuff checked as it seems to be running lean.

    Re: Fuel Pump

Well the new fuel pump, fuel filter, gear indicator sensor, sidestand switch, plugs and air filter are all now installed................everything seems to be working fine and dandy - just as it should.

Just finished sorting out the rear indicators with Metal Mule shortened stalks so that they fit with the Zegas mounted........

When I can be arsed it'll need an oil change as well. Jeez, engine oil, gearbox oil AND final drive oil............it's all want, want, want, with these tractors 'innit

J - I've obviously got the old fuel pump that I took out of the tank - are they serviceable or do I just bin it - they look like a sealed unit........

Yep all back together and running. Stormforce8 I knew there was a reason I love you

However, it's running quite rough and popping a lot. J, does the chap you recommend sort out fueling issues? If so, I'll give him a ring in the week and see if I can book in.

    Re: Fuel Pump

Annette Mike should be able to sort out fueling issues without too much of a problem

Jonathon, J says he doesn't know but he would be willing to give it a bash He thinks it may be a sealed unit but would have to have a look
