Fiona I have a friend who is only just over 5ft and she rides a 1100 GS.
My little f650 GS is tiny, I can sit on it with both feet on the floor and have bent knees (I am 5ft 8") You can get lowered seats and do stuff with the suspension, and I can't speak highly enough about the bike, it really is a cracking little bike.
