    Re: Tempting Tempting...

On closer inspection, the bike doesn't have ABS...

Whilst not a massive problem, it does explain why it's cheaper, as ABS is an £800 optional extra...

Waiting to hear what the PX value for the tigger would be, and researching what I'd still need to buy (crash bars, hand guards, touring screen)...

Repeat after me: "I will not make any rash decisions..."

MMMMM ? sounds to me like the decision may already have been made??

JB , I don't think ABS is that big a deal - I've owned two bike with ABS , but only because they "came with it" I would not actively pay the difference, if I had a choice , my personal opinion , it's not all it's cracked up to be.

OOOOOOOOOOO! that should get a few counter opinions posted !!!!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

    Haha,

Thanks WJ! It's not the use of the ABS, but the resale value of the bike that concerns me. No ABS negatively impacts the resale value, especially with so many bikes having it fit these days.

Just got a note back from the dealer, they value my Tiger at £3300 with all the options on... That's quite a bit lower than you see similar bikes online.

I'd have to buy crash bars (£100 at least), hand guards (around £50) and a touring screen (£100)... I might be better off waiting a bit longer and finishing the season on the Tigger before buying a bike in the winter slump...

    Or...

    Me too,

Not sure at the moment... It's a lot of money, but about £1800 less than list with all the accessories it comes with...

Question is, do I want to spend £3600 at the moment...

    Decisions, decisions...

The ABS is brilliant so it's a shame that this bike doesn't have it. I find the standard screen OK and wouldn't want a touring screen really. Handguards I've picked up for £60

Personally I think the ABS is a deal breaker
