Tempting Tempting...

Saw an 800GS online, full panniers, heated grips, ABS, centre stand, board computer, 3,400 miles...

£6500...

Afraid to ride one, since I might want one...

How much would my Tiger fetch on PX???

note to self: stay away, stay away!

The dark side is strong...

Re: Tempting Tempting...

Most glorious Prince of the Heavenly Armies,
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in "our battle against principalities and powers,
against the rulers of this world of darkness,
against the spirits of wickedness in the high places" [Eph., 6:12].

Come to the assistance of men for they hath created bikes
and whom they hath redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil.

The Holy workshop venerates you as her guardian and protector;
to you, the Lord has entrusted the souls of the redeemed to be led into heaven.
Pray therefore the God of Peace to crush Satan beneath our feet,
that he may no longer retain men captive and do injury to the wings.
Offer our prayers to the Most High,
that without delay they may draw His mercy down upon us;
take hold of "the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan,"
bind him and cast him into the bottomless pit
"that he may no longer seduce the nations." [Rev. 20:2-3]

Re: Tempting Tempting...

No chance the Dark Side is tooooo strong.
But serious go for a testride, new bikes are always tempting but sometimes they are just not right.
If you go to South London Motorrad they let you take a 800GS and tell you to go at "Least" for a Hour
Ask Whealie

Re: Tempting Tempting...

Take it for a test ride and you'll be doomed

There is no escaping the dark side, I resisted for years but the draw is too strong.

I have to be honest, for that price and with that mileage it's a bloody good deal.

Go for it

Re: Tempting Tempting...

Thanks for your help guys...

I might go and give it a try. That said, I leave for TLD Thursday morning, and have a conference Monday/Wednesday before leaving for Spain on Sunday...

It'll be a squeeze to get that test ride in before the bike disappears...

JB

Update: just sent them an email asking how much they'll PX the Tiger for... Not saying I'll do it, just gathering information
