    There may be trouble ahead

Well I dont know how many on here actually take their bikes off the beaten track or how many have ridden an X challenge but I have made the fatal mistake of having a go on one and wow!!!
I find it hard to think that theres a bike that could do it all but using an x challenge off road is making me think.
My mate Shaun has been coming out with me recently and we have put him in some serious Welsh terrain and the thing just gets through it all, from steep slag heap climbs to rocky ascent and decents and thick bog.
Then it gets on the road and blats down the tarmac with as much ease as a standard gearing as a Transalp. All this with the only gearing mod of 1 tooth less on the front sprocket.
The rotax single cylinder seems hardly stressed what ever its been doin and fuel consumption when we stop to fill is a lot better than my XR
I wonder also how good the X country is. Are they exactly same engine as the ol Dakar F650s. Bloody marvellous bike.

Phil,I think they look great, several people I've spoken to have been negative about it,so It's nice to hear from someone who has ACTUALLY ridden one in anger. (What are you gonna tell the missus?)

Feck knows I have never ridden a bike before buying and I now know the reason why would be great for me to just have 1 bike mind that can do anything

Phil I now what you mean, but the price is a little bit still in the OUCH department. One will be in the stable in a few years.
