    F800GS test ride

I just posted a wee basic test report on the F800GS - in "Ride Reports - Test Ride Reports" , if anyone is interested.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

I read it and wonder are the indicators similar to the original Harley?

Great report WeeJack, I've posted a reply over there

Stumpy, the indicators are a button on the right handlebar to go right, button on left handlebar to go left, button on right handlebar to cancel both sides. (The corresponding button on the left handlebar is the horn) The major problem You find you are usually trying to cancel the indicators the same time as you will be going back up the gearbox after negotiating say a junction, the time when you need the maximum throttle control so using your right hand for this operation is detrimental to this. Especially as you left hand isn't doing much at all. Infuriating is the fact the LH indicator system fitted to the majority of other bikes works perfectly!!!
    F800GS ...broom broom yeah!!!

The Harley I rode in the Early Eighties had a button on each side but you had to hold it in to keep the indicator working.

ps It was a loan bike.

Modern Harleys have a button each side, one for left one for right. Press once to activate, once again to cancel. They also have a self cancelling system, which usually cancels about a millisecond before you press the button to "cancel", therefore starting the indicator off again and confusing everyone behind you

Oh and Wee Jack, nice report
